Planted by Dr. Donhue in 1851, Longview tea estate comprises of so many small plantations of the yore, like Pankhabari, Kelabari and Windsor.

Wyandhams of Australia owned it till 1953. Largest tea estate of Darjeeling, it has1500 acres of tea plantation and produces 700,000 kilos of processed tea.

Since 1978 a vigorous programme of rejuvenation and replanting was takenup and its factory underwent an complete overhaul and modernasiation.
